Brent Demmitt

Education and Experience

Brent holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Kansas State University where he rowed on the varsity crew, helped found K-State’s club volleyball team, won more intramural sports awards than he can count, and played more pick-up basketball than should be allowed.

After college, Brent started a commercial cattle business, and spent 10 years competing in team roping and tie-down roping in both professional and amateur rodeos.  As a business owner, Brent soon realized the economic reality of managing risk and the importance of building a team of trusted advisors.

Eventually, Brent hung up his spurs and earned a Masters in Sports Management at Florida State University, while working as a graduate assistant for FSU’s Men’s Basketball team. After graduating from Florida State, Brent pursued a career as a high school athletic director and basketball coach.  That experience seeded Brent’s interest in focused problem solving and risk management planning, and carved his path to becoming a lawyer.

Brent earned his Juris Doctor from the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University, where he was a Pedrick Scholar.  Brent is admitted to the bar in Colorado and Arizona.
